Things to Do in Rome: What to Book and What to Walk To
Read the guide
Travel guide
Practical, verifiable information for 143 countries: what there is to see, when to go, how to get around, what things cost — and, when you decide to book, every option compared side by side.
Pick what you like doing and we show where it is worth booking.
Most travel sites are storefronts wearing a guide's clothes: the article exists to get you to the checkout. We built the opposite. The information layer — what a place is, which districts matter, what a fair price looks like, when the crowds come — stands on its own and is worth reading even if you never book anything through us.
When you do decide to book, the comparison is there: every bookable option for that attraction, ranked by review-weighted rating rather than by what pays us most, with duration and cancellation terms in the same table.

Planning guides built on the same data we use to compare tickets: what things really cost, how long they take and which options are worth it.

Population, districts, official tourism sources and the practical context of each place, drawn from open data and written by us — not copied from another guide.
Itineraries, real budgets and buying advice built on live catalogue data, so the numbers in the text update themselves instead of ageing badly.
The median price of each destination and attraction, the full price range and how many options include free cancellation — the numbers operators would rather you did not compare.
A guide. The destination and attraction pages are written to be useful on their own. Booking links exist because that is how the guide is funded, and they never change the order in which options appear.
Destination facts come from open data sources such as Wikidata and Wikivoyage; prices, durations and ratings come from a live tour catalogue refreshed regularly. The text is written by us — we use the sources as facts, never as sentences.
Because raw rating rewards products with almost no reviews. Every rating is weighted by review volume, so an option needs both a high score and real traveller volume to lead.
Prices, availability and ratings are refreshed regularly and stored daily, which is how we can say whether a price moved rather than only what it is today.
